Since 2008, the CBRNE Conference has been Norway’s leading national arena for strengthening cooperation and preparedness across civil and military sectors. This year’s theme, “If war comes… what does it mean for the CBRNE field?”, highlights the increasing relevance of cross-sectoral CBRNE readiness in light of the current European security climate. With participants spanning emergency services, defense, health institutions, local government, and national authorities, the conference is a key meeting point for those shaping the future of Norway’s total defense.
Watchbird is attending the 2025 CBRNE Conference as part of our commitment to learning from and contributing to this national preparedness effort. As a Norwegian medical technology company working on next-generation tools for early detection and protection in CBRNE-relevant environments, we are particularly engaged in understanding operational needs, regulatory frameworks, and inter-agency coordination practices that shape the national response. Participating in this network is essential to ensure our solutions align with real-world challenges and strategic priorities across both civil and defense sectors.
Our current R&D initiatives including compact sensor systems for airborne hazard detection (CBRN sensor) and practical respiratory protection solutions for military and emergency personnel (SAFEgaiter), are shaped by the evolving CBRNE landscape. We attend the conference to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on how Norway and its partners can meet the demands of tomorrow’s threat scenarios. For Watchbird, being part of this network means staying grounded in the realities of those who serve on the frontline of national safety and preparedness.
